Customer Support Clerk

Our client is a highly reputable international banking group with London being a major strategic focus within its network. They now have a vacancy for a Customer Support Clerk.

Job Description:
  • To execute customer, internal and external, payments ensuring correct and accurate delivery of funds.
  • Monitor and maintain all necessary Swift queues to ensure all branch payments are processed and delivered within all appropriate cut-off times.
  • Follow procedures and ensure all procedural amendments are reported to the Head of Customer Support
  • Respond to customer enquiries and complaints by e-mail, post and telephone
  • Operate all aspects of Swift Alliance system: monitoring of all queues, input payments, distribution of incoming messages and assist in answering queries
  • Operate all aspects of Test Key system: de-coding, encoding and distribution. Ensure procedures are updated and followed at all times
  • Operate all aspects of the system: input payments, pass entries on incoming receipts, manual entries, monitoring of queues, stop cheques, investigations and all actions for regulating cheque agency
  • Produce new spreadsheets where applicable to assist in the smooth running of department. Amend existing spreadsheets where necessary
  • Monitoring of all queues with a view to cut-off times
  • Complete administration for Call Account input where applicable. Communicate with Collateral Management and Front Office where necessary. Open and maintain Treasury call accounts. Ensure Collateral call accounts are received/paid within cut-off times
  • Distribute currency and maintain accurate records of all currency orders
Person/Experience Required:

Business Knowledge/Technical skills
  • Proven track record in wide range of payment processing;
  • Swift Alliance knowledge (desirable but not essential);
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels

Infrastructure Vice President - European Infrastructure Fund

Our client is a small highly rated European Merchant Bank and they are looking to hire an infrastructure Vice President.

  • You will be working within an established Infrastructure Fund Management team and this varied role includes:
  • The commercial asset management of the funds UK PFI sub-portfolio
  • Representation of the fund manager as nominee director on Company Boards
  • Commercial reporting on asset performance
  • Executing strategic plans to optimize portfolio returns.

You will be working closely with the fund Chief Operating Officer to provide input for regular investor reporting, you will co-ordinate internal team meetings, provide support to fund CEO on ad hoc projects and participate in strategic initiatives and research assignments.

KYC Manager/ Client on-boarding Manager

My client is one of the largest banking and financial service organisation in the world. Its international network comprises around 9,500 offices in 85 countries and provides a comprehensive range of financial services: personal financial services; commercial banking; corporate, investment banking and markets; private banking; and other activities.

This role would should a KYC and AML person who specialises in this field. This is a varied role, and in brief the duties will include:

  • Act as the primary liaison interface between the KYC Team in our Indian Service Centres and the onshore KYC internal and external Clients.
  • As a UK KYC expert, provide advice and guidance to the offshore teams, other functions and front office Business Owners on all UK AML/KYC related matters.
  • Personally liaise with the Investment Bank and other areas subject to confidentiality or Chinese wall arrangements, providing guidance and undertaking client identification and verification and KYC for complex confidential deals. This will require the incumbent to be placed on an insider register.
  • Review and technical approval of high risk KYC profiles as the 1st part of the approval chain.
  • Act as a primary interface between Compliance and the KYC function in monitoring performance and resolving complex issues.
  • Working closely with the Indian service centres, Compliance, Management and Relationship Management Teams to ensure high quality of production and fast turnaround times.
  • Provide management, training and guidance to a rolling Short Term Assignment colleague from Bangalore Service centre.
  • Assisting with the provision of on-going training and identifying focus areas.
  • Project work as directed by the COBAM Global or UK Head of KYC, focused on policy change and development of a new Global KYC IT platform.
  • Ensuring that FSA and our Bank requirements are adhered to in regard to Anti-Money-Laundering and Client Identification obligations
  • Updating the control tools and maintaining records and procedures used within the on-shore KYC team.
  • Provide the on-shore support and liaison for Corporate Origination and Asset Backed teams
Personal qualities Required:
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for global banking and wholesale markets client due diligence (CDD).
  • Experience of CDD implemented on a risk based approach

Compliance Officer Financial Security Officer

My client is a leading European Investment Bank which offers a full range of products and services operating in 55 countries. Their ratings are in a solid financial position.

This particular role is Reporting to Head of Financial Security and is positioned within a hard working but friendly environment of the bank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The role requires involvement, as required, in assisting the Financial Security Department to fulfil all of its legal and regulatory obligations in the UK.
  • Primary activity will involve the monitoring of accounts and transactions for potential money laundering, terrorist financing or sanction breaching activity. Some monitoring will be automated and some will be manual. The ability to process high volumes of transaction requests in a time critical environment will be necessary at times.
  • Obtaining and using national and international findings on money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • Logging of the results of investigations and the subsequent preparation and analysis of key management information based on client account and transaction activity will be a key component of the role. Regular reports will require extraction and presentation to assist the department in the control environment.
  • Management of the training diagnostics leading to the preparation, analysis and commentary of performance of the branch against agreed training strategy. Administration of the training strategy and assisting the training manager in ensuring that the training strategy is reviewed and deployed.
  • Assist in the investigation of all suspicious activity reports received.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Annual MLRO report.
  • Assist in the Financial Security policies and procedures as required.

Team Leader Credit Analysis
Responsibilities
  • To supervise relationship Credit Officers in analyzing client's financials and check if they are in credit lines as per banks policy.
  • Predict risk rating to monitor cash flows and hence operate limits accordingly.

  • Maintain effective relationship between the department and its Internal Customers on a day-to-day basis
  • Respond to questions pertaining to risk profiles / risk issues
  • Analyze risks (identification, assessment, and prioritization) at department level of the Bank through Business Mapping, Control Self Assessment and other Risk management initiatives in ONE of :
    1. Retail Branch Network;
    2. Credit;
    3. Finance;
    4. Treasury, Investment Banking and Financial Institutions.
  • Identify and improve existing controls, develop controls needed to mitigate risks
  • Set Action plan for the implementation supported with clear timetable to be followed in order to gain the benefits from improved and developed controls
  • Improve communication channels across the bank through effective assessment to reporting lines, responsibilities and delegated authorities
  • Improve the Bank's operations by suggesting process improvements through studies to back office role and the need for middle office role
  • Update the Operational Risk Management software (CAREWEB) with the results of the Business Mapping, Control Self Assessment and other Risk Management initiatives
Person/Experience/Qualifications:
  • Holder of graduate/post-graduate degree from a reputable institution
  • CA / CIA / CCSA certification
  • Strong banking (Audit/Risk Management) experience in the area of (i), (ii), (iii) or (iv) above
  • Control-oriented approach
  • Ability to analysis systems, procedures and products and suggest improvements
  • Good interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills
  • Lateral thinking
  • Knowledge of Office Automation tools, e.g. MS Office, etc.
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and commit to deadlines

Credit Reviewer
Job Description:

Conducting an independent periodic credit review of the entire Bank's Credit portfolios (i.e. Corporate, Commercial, Treasury, Retail, SB and Shares Murabah) in order to assess the quality of them and report the same to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs the assigned reviews according to specified criteria to ensure:
  • The integrity and reliability of the financial and operational information
  • That the computer systems used in the bank comply with policies, plans, procedures and laws
  • The efficiency and economies of investment of the banks' financial resources
  • That operations and programs meet the established objectives according to the plans
  • Evaluating the integrity and consistency of the risk rating process
  • To ensure that credits are appropriately classified and provision taken is appropriate
  • Providing objective and timely reporting to management supported with the appropriate working papers
  • To follow up implementation of all recommended and approved remedial actions
Person/Experience/Qualifications:
  • BA/B.Sc. degree in Administrative Sciences preferably in Accounting
  • Strong experience in credit review or related areas
  • English language satisfactory level
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Credit Review Manager
Job Description:

Supervising the credit review processes starting from planning stage going through the examination, report generating, evaluating and follow-up stages to ensure the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing the credit review function strategy and annual action plan
  • Maintaining a systematic and risk-based review program that will evaluate wholesale lending and credit units
  • Supervising the execution of credit review assignments to ensure compliance with the credit review function strategy and annual action plan
  • Ensuring that planning and carrying out of credit review assignments are performed in accordance with the procedures agreed upon
  • Ensuring the quality of credit review reports in terms of:
    • the correctness and comprehensiveness of the findings
    • the working papers adequately support the findings and conclusions
    • the review reports are accurate, objective, clear, concise, constructive and timely
    • the review objectives are met
  • Preparing necessary development/qualification plans for the credit review staff to provide them with the required training and skills
  • Providing objective and timely reporting to management
Person/Experience/Qualifications:
  • BA or BSc degree in Administrative Sciences, preferably in Accounting
  • Strong experience in credit review or related areas
